This week we’ve had to put our studio photography on hold as we are working our way through about 450 pictures for the Dundee Apex Hotel- More to come on this very soon. In its space, I thought I’d share a picture from last year which won a gold award from the Society of Wedding & Portrait Photographers, SWPP.
When Shona brought her three boxers down to the studio, it took about an hour for them to settle down- they were extremely boistrous. The below photo was my personal favourite of the shoot, with the two elder dogs flanking the younger one. We used a strong triangular composition, which draws your eyes to the dog’s faces at each corner. The client was as pleased with the final piece as we were, and the award was merely the icing on the cake!
