Every year for a number of years now, Dundee has had two different fireworks displays on bonfire night- one in Lochee Park in the West, and one in Baxter park in the East. This year, I took the opportunity to go the other side of the river and capture both lots of fireworks simultaneously.
The shot is not in fact one individual photo, but multiple shots taken together to get higher definition. I then ‘stitch the photos together to create the final product. No trickery though, the fireworks really were there! I must admit the finished product has even taken me aback slightly, it has a real otherworldly quality.
We have a large collection of long panoramic images for sale in the gallery, this one included. We’re currently taking orders for Christmas, and we’re going to do a special deal for all you regular blog readers. Normally, we’d charge £60 for a smaller and £125 for a larger framed photo. But we’re offering 10% discount on any of my panoramic photos of Dundee and the surrounding landscapes. All you need to do is mention the blog or Facebook page when you come into the shop.

admin - Hi Jim,
I can supply the photographs without frames if needed.
They are available in two sizes 100cm or 50cm long costing £80 and £40 respectively.
Thank you for your interest in my photography.
Gordon.
James McGill - Hi there having looked at this image I just wondered how much it would cost to get a print of one of these images sent to my address in mainland UK. I used to live in Dundee and this should look nice and serve as a reminder of my childhood in my new home in Kilmarnock, regards Jim Mcgill.
